Community Play and Playspaces
This type of event has us filling a large, open space (gym, classroom, function room, field, etc) with a varity of unique equipment and activities for participants to play and use at their own leisure. This type of event is extremely popular for groups with a vast age range or in which participants want to get active but in a less organized manner. Knucklebones staff will be there to setup, facilitate, play and pack it all away - all while creating the most mesmerizing space for fun, healthy movement. We can target this for any age range from 8 months to 99 years. Whether we're running a parent group playspace, as an add on to an already existing event (5K, summer concert, movie night, block party, annual outing, etc) this type of event brings people together...for the love of play!

Through our vast array of athletically inspired activities and games we are able to enhance participants' self esteem, positive communication, leaderships skills and ability to work & bond as a team. Our philosophy believes that participants should be actively engaged throughout th eteam building session, moving, communicating, learning new skills, enhacing old skills, learning about each other, and having a blast!
Have no fear, our team building session are not made for top-notch athletes. However, they do challenge participants in various areas, encouraging team dynamics and effective leadership skills. Each event is tailored specifically to our client's requests, the composition of the participants, and the venue. Our wide-range of activities and games are appropriate for any age and can be used for any group (camps, schools, corporations, organizations, sports teams, etc) looking to have fun and build a more cohesive, respectful and productive relationship.
From simple bonding exercises and complex simulations, to multi-day retreats, our activitiews and games can occure in any location, any time of year and for any length of time.
Some examples of our style of team building include "Survivor" type games, "Hunger Games", "Amazing Race" challenges, navigational challenges, scavenger hunts, Geocaching, Olympic games, old school challenges, contemporary challenges and cultural activites/games. Our team building may seem a bit unorthodox but, we make sure to get everyone laughing, allowing participants to 'loosen' up in order to 'open up.
All sessions may finish with a personalizzed debriefing and assesement to extend our team building past the playing field and into your work environment.
Explorations (can also be named ‘Mommy & Me’, ‘Pops & Tots’, etc)
Ages 8 months - 2.4 years
Knucklebones’ Explorations engages both child and guardian in exploring a vast array of creative movement and gross motor activities. Each week your Knucklebones’ coach will bring a plethora of activities creating a circuit of open play that will include soft climbers, hoppers, ball pit, climbing structure, push/pull toys, tents, tunnels, balancing equipment, scooters, balls (various textures and sizes), gymnastics shapes and much more. Your coach will also lead a group activity to encourage participants to work together and provide social interaction. Explorations will enhance gross motor and fine motor skills, hand/foot/eye coordination, balancing & walking, physical activity, and provide a whole lot of fun!
Creative Movement & Reading (can also be named ‘Literacize’)
Ages: 8 months – 4 years
Knucklebones creative movement and reading program is a one hour program that consists of three parts: reading aloud an athletically inspired picture book, creating an athletic activity that coincides with the book’s theme and free play filled with a diverse mix of athletically inspired products by the most admired manufacturers. Each week the Knucklebones instructor will read 1-2 preselected books that have been chosen for their movement content / overall theme and have children act out parts of the book using a diverse array of equipment. Through this physical movement and reading program several significant learning goals may be acquired:
- A joy of reading can be instilled
- A fun and playful approach to being fit / living a healthy lifestyle can be acquired
- A diverse array of books can provide children with age-appropriate, educational subjects
- Motor skills can be enhanced
- Social skills can be learned
- Self-confidence can be increased (through the use of “new” and rarely used products)
Lil' Ninja Warrior
Ninja Warrior is the perfect class. Each week your child will participate in stretching, obstacles and games to help gross motor skills, fitness and fun. From swinging on a high bar to balance beams, tumbling on mats to leaping into a ball pit - your child is sure to have a blast!
This proven clinic will help children learn the beginning skills, technique and etiquette of soccer. Starting with soft Rhino Skin balls, slowly moving up to size 3 soccer balls, children actively engage in learning everything from passing and kicking, to heading and dribbling skills. Each class structure is the same; beginning with a short discussion of the game of soccer, stretching and calisthenics, skill lesson, followed by soccer activities and a soccer game. You will be amazed and your child will feel empowered as they improve throughout this session. Parents are highly encouraged to participate with their child in this program. Proper clothing and sneakers are required.
Knucklebones’ Micro T-Ball will engage both parent/guardian and their toddler(s) in learning how to play like the big leaguers. Each class will bring a steady progression of t-ball skills and game play. Starting with t-stands we’ll quickly progress to underhand pitching, all the while practicing fielding skills. From understanding basic rules and batting techniques to knowing when to run and how to “play the field”, children will gain the essence of the game and have fun while playing in mock games. The last day will be the most fun as the children will take on the parents/ guardians in a game for bragging rights! Comfortable clothing and sneakers are required.
Micro Wheels teaches the fundamentals of learning to ride a bicycle without training wheels! Each class your Knucklebones’ Coach will bring in a variety of unique wheeled and non-wheeled products to help build gross motor skills, balance and confidence. Class will begin with a brief stretch and activity to get participants up and moving. From there we will introduce a new activity involving wheeled vehicles such as scooter boards, three wheel scooters, balance bicycles and finally progressing to a bicycle. As well, we will include an array of diverse games and activities such as balance beams, balancing stones, street signs, an obstacle course and more to help these determined drivers develop the skills needed to ride safely, successfully and have FUN! Proper sneakers and long pants are required.

Knucklebones has designed a program to enhance gross motor skills, athletic fundamentals, physical exercise, creative movement, and fun! Each class your child will play a myriad of different, skill enhancing athletic activities and games. From learning to kick using RhinoSkin balls to practicing throwing playing Messy Backyard and much more, we make sure your child is active and having fun while developing a passion for play that will stay with them! The entire program is supported using a plethora of unique and age appropriate equipment. Sneakers are required.
This clinic focuses on the basic fundamentals beginning with dribbling, shooting, passing and catching as well as defense. Using age appropriate equipment the class will enable your child to learn at their own pace while having a blast! Each class will be structured with stretching, learning a skill, rule of the day, skill game and finally a fun filled game for all to enjoy. Sneakers are required.

Knucklebones’ Gymnastics offers a unique twist for your beginning gymnast. Using age appropriate equipment and fun techniques, your child will gain creative and rhythmic movement, flexibility, fundamental gymnastics and gross motor skills. Exploring various apparatus including beam, high bar, rings, mats, mat shapes (cylinder, wedges, humps, etc), spring board, and trampolines along with unique products such as Gonge balance sets, polyspots, and Action, your child will progress with introductory skills while having fun! Knucklebones prides itself on engaging children through cooperative play in a carefully designed circuit of gymnastic activities.
Athletic Games, Multi-Sport or Spectacular Sports
This class is not your average sports class! Knucklebones Athletics focuses on strategy, fitness, and fun, allowing everyone to get involved and have a good time. Bringing all our own unique equipment, we’ll play traditional games such as hockey, soccer and basketball and add some outside the box games like Poison, Gaga, and Castle ball. Ever tried to score points using a 4’ ball on a 6’inflatable tube? Welcome to Powerball! Everyone will be challenged, learn new skills and have a blast! Proper clothing and sneakers are required.
Cross-Curricular Game Play
Taking traditional educational curriculum into the "yard" (adding physical stimulation) allows students to acquire knowledge in a fun, healthy and physically active way. Utilizing athletically inspired activities and games, participants will be engaged in a program of creative play that teaches aspects of art, math, nature, science, and social studies. The possibilities of unique and fun learning are endless. Gather your group in a football huddle and instead of calling plays you call running angles. Play a round of pinaccuacy where you’ll have to knock down the works by Van Gogh’s without touching any Monet’s or Warhol’s. And while broken up into Native American, British and French you’ll have to answer questions in order to obtain rewards which allow you to traverse further into the other team’s territory. You’ve never had some much fun learning so much! Proper athletic attire and sneakers are required
Knucklebones Ninja Warrior Program let's older children who have the dexterity, balance and decision making skills to engage in an developmentally challenging program. Either as a one-time event or for an 8-week session our program provides all the unique elements as well as 'elevates' elements throughout the program, making the course even more challenging. From Cargo Nets, tunnels and monkey bars to zip lines, a floating floor and numerouse challenging obstacle we'll create a course that best meets the objectives of the program.
Ages: 5-11 (must be broken down into age groups)
Knucklebones Martial Arts is a great way to help develop self-discipline, confidence, and coordination. The program will focus on introductory martial arts skills, proper stance, and breathing as well as increase strength, agility, and flexibility. Through direct instruction and activities that inspire eye/hand coordination, concentration, balance, and fun the martial arts class will motivate all participants. No special strength or abilities are needed, allowing everyone to excel.
Presidential Fitness, Track and Field Program
Knucklebones Presidential Fitness, Track and Field Program measures aerobic capacity, body composition, muscular strength, endurance and flexibility. With the objective of showing children their body’s abilities and providing motivation to adopt a healthy lifestyle, our program will evaluate their progress through such activities as sprints, relays, long jump, pull-ups and an inspiringly athletic decathlon. Each class will include stretching, game play, track & field, evaluating participants’ ability in various areas of fitness, and conclude with a discussion on healthy habits. Upon completion of the six-week program each participant will receive a certificate and emblem from The Presidential Youth Fitness Program. Proper athletic attire and sneakers are required
Fitness Training Program
Knucklebones Fitness will work to show children their body’s abilities and provide motivation for the upcoming Track & Field season. Our program will include dynamic cross training activities that will improve participant’s fitness, agility, stamina, and muscle conditioning. Each class will include stretching, game play, track & field and evaluate participants’ ability in various areas of fitness. Proper athletic attire and sneakers are required
Survivor / Amazing Race Challenges
With a combined 250 seasons from the U.S. and abroad, Survivor has created some the greatest challenges on television. Manipulating various challenges, participants will work to outwit, outplay and outlast through mental, physical and creative taks. Working in groups, paris and individuals, participants will be presented with their very own season of Survivor.
ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Athletics Program
Knucklebones provides a personalized, engaging, diverse and fun athletics program for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through the involvement of parents and/or aides all activities will be personalized for each child allowing children to be encouraged to participate at their own level while being involved in cooperative play. Moreover, unwanted behaviors will be realigned, communication, social skills, and friendship will be encouraged between ALL participants.

Introduction to Skateboarding
Designed for beginner skateboarders with little to no experience, this class teaches fundamental skateboarding tricks and skills. Concentrating on balance, turning, accelerating, stopping, transitions, dropping in, Ollies, and a variety of other skills, we not only teach tricks but help participants develop confidence to apply them on their own. Proper safety equipment (helmet, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards) and skateboards are required. For those that can't bring them, they will be provided but you must let us know upon registration. Participants must keep all safety gear on at all times and wear athletic shoes.
Designed for skateboarders with experience who are looking to push themselves to the next level, this class will focus on tricks you have been dreaming about, while conquering your fear at the same time. From a variety of skateboard flip tricks, grinds, manuals and riding vert we not only teach tricks but help participants develop confidence to apply them on their own. Proper safety equipment (helmet, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards) and skateboards are required but will be provided for those who do not have their own. Participants must keep all safety gear on at all times and wear athletic shoes.
Number of Participants: 20min/40max
One of the best camp traditions is now a breakout tradition all its own. Whether consecutive day, weekly or once a month, participants will compete in traditional and not so traditional sports and physical activities. Participants are divided into teams, each of which is assigned a color. Teams will choose different commanders each day and compete against each other in challenges and events to earn points. Team challenges include, for example, Castle Ball, Omnikin Poison, Torch Ball, Survivor™ Games, Amazing Race™ Challenges, Geocaching, etc. It will conclude with one event that can propel any team forward to claim the crown! Color War will be the most talked about event of the year as each participant recounts his or her wildly vivid experience.
